We just got a new body of work in the gallery by the potter Erik Haagensen. Its always such a treat to unpack Eriks work and see what his imagination has cooked up.

Back At It in 2014

We are back again for the new year!  As of yesterday, we have resumed our normal business hours of Tuesday - Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm.

Additionally, don't forget about the kickoff to our 2014 exhibition program: printmaker Michael Barnes and ceramicist Heidi Preuss Grew.  Both artists, Barnes from Illinois and Grew from Oregon, will be traveling to Boise for the show opening.  The event will take place at Brumfield's Gallery on Saturday, January 11 from 7 - 9 pm.

Happy New Year!

New Ceramics

We've just received a few shipments for the newest ceramics in the Gift Gallery.  We thought you'd like a peek into the latest pieces to arrive...

Patty Bilbro's ceramics feature her fetching (and often grumpy) hand illustrated figures.

Erik Haagensen combines monsters and animals with cheeky quips for uniquely adorned mugs, shotglasses, and vases.

Luba Sharapan's pieces are colorful and whimsical, in perfect keeping with our Boise North End location.

We're thrilled with all the new work and are quite happy how well they fit in with the gallery's quirkiness.  What do you think?

New Sculptures

One our local artists, Jim Budde, stopped by the gallery to drop off a few of his sculptures.  All the pieces are new to the gallery and are on display right now.

'Tom and The River'

'Olive's Dream'

Jim Budde is known for his more stylized teapot sculptures.  He draws both from popular culture and classic literature.  He sees himself as an illustrator in clay rather than a narrative sculptor.  He likes the prerequisite boundaries and technical obstacles this approach imposes on the way in which he tackles each new piece.

'Fer Fun'

Jim Budde recived his MFA from California State University, taught art in California, and is currently a Professor of Art at Boise State University.

Stop by the gallery to see the entire collection or check them out on our inventory.
